There’s been a lot of interest in the One Search plugin I recently released. To allow people to play a little and see where things are at, I setup subversion and a way to browse the code. So far only one project is up there, but I’ll probably be adding more.
Subversion is a development tool [...]

Updated: No Feed Plugin
I updated the No Feed WordPress plugin this week. It now accurately issues a “404 Error Not Found” for disabled feeds. It will also correctly display your default 404 template.
Get the update.
Attachment Category Updater WordPress Plugin
When you add an attachment to a WordPress post, the attachment inherits the post’s categories. However, future changes to a post’s categories are not reflected in the attachment. The Attachment Category Updater WordPress plugin fixes that.
This can be beneficial for tag or category searches, and even for custom attachment archives.
If you use it, let [...]
No Feed WordPress Plugin
I came across a thread in WordPress support about someone needing to remove all feeds. There was no need for password protection or limited access. They just needed the feeds deleted. Download the plugin that will remove all feeds.
I’d agree that simply deleting the feed-* files would be sufficient and acceptable. However, whenever I hack [...]
Best Free Solution: Blog, Website, Email, More
I got into a conversation with someone (NB) who was looking for a free way to host their blog. I suggested Blogger, but was immediately shotgunned with:
It’s not secure.
I want my own domain.
It’s not flexible enough.
I can’t upload documents.
In the end, he needed much more than a blog. Here’s our conversation (roughly)…
Me: It’s not secure?
NB: [...]
Entry-Level Wacom Tablet
One of the best technology gadgets I’ve ever purchased is my Wacom Tablet. With up to 8 (okay 12) hours a day on the computer, a stylus and tablet provide for more productive, injury-free computing. Although it comes with a mouse, I use the stylus and ExpressKeys for just about everything. Not ready to spend [...]
Free dotMac: notMac
Mac users who are enticed by the syncing solution provided through .mac, Apple’s commercial webspace, email, and file storage solution, now have a free alternative. Say, “Welcome” to notMac. notMac, a product of the notMac Challenge, was recently introduced as a free, opensource alternative.
If you’re not willing to pay $100 to fix corruptions issues, try [...]
Free Real Estate Virtual Tours
Thumbing through the numerous hosted virtual tour options can seem mind-boggling and endless. However one of the best, and free, options I’ve found for search engine visibility has been Google Video.
You’re probably saying, “Wait a minute. They only do videos. I don’t even have a video camera!” Take a look at the current Home For [...]
Email Large Attachments: Pando
Is your email host too restrictive when it comes to large file attachments? Most of us have been there. You send the email, but the attachment isn’t received. It could be a result of file sending limits imposed by your email provider. Or it could be mailbox size restrictions on the receiving end. Whatever [...]
Wallnote Cut
I just removed Wallnote from my list of web-based to-do programs. The interface is simple, intuitive, and just works. Wallnote supports multiple lists and allows you to add a description to each task. You can also use it to write quick notes about things.
The unique thing about Wallnote is that you can use it from [...]
